Croydon Early Years Funding

Only Early Years settings registered with OFSTED (Childminders, Day Nurseries and Pre-schools) are eligible to apply to join the Croydon Directory of Providers. To deliver the free entitlement all providers must have agreed and signed up to the terms and conditions as set out in the Croydon Provider Agreement.

For more information see: http://www.childcarebusinesscroydon.co.uk/

Please note that you are required to submit Early Years funding returns via the Croydon Early Years Funding Portal. This portal replaces the Early Years Proforma.

By law every local authority has to have a School Forum and this must have at least one representative from the Private, Voluntary and Independent sector (PVI) as well as at least one from a maintained nursery school. As part of this regulatory process there are also a number of working groups, the Early Years Working Group (EYWG) being one of them. In Croydon our PVI representative on Schools Forum is chair of the EYWG which meets every six weeks or so throughout the year on a Tuesday morning. Any provider delivering funding on behalf of the local authority is welcome to attend an EYWG meeting as an observer and contribute to the discussions that are then made to the School Forum. Please email child.care@croydon.gov.uk for further information.
